Our Services

  • No matter how you lost your tooth, replacing it with a dental implant will provide you with a lasting solution to complete your smile. Implants look like your real teeth, and because they are anchored into the jawbone, they feel like real teeth too. Having a complete smile is cosmetically appealing and it also brings your oral health in harmony by providing a stable bite, which will allow you to eat your favorite foods, talk with ease, and smile automatically. Dr. Hoy is able to place implants in the office and will walk you through the process of this long-term solution.

  • Almost always a toothache is more than just a cavity in need of a filling. When you start to feel pain, often the bacteria has already started an infection on the nerve of the tooth and you will need a root canal or extraction to eliminate the infection and relieve the pain. Your options depend on the severity of the infection and the condition of the tooth. Dr. Hoy is able to perform root canals in the office and will recommend what will work best for you.

  • If you have a dental emergency, call the office and we will schedule you for our next available appointment. If you have an emergency after office hours, please call the office and leave a message, or text Dr. Hoy’s cell phone number. Messages to the office will be responded to the following business day. Texts to Dr. Hoy’s personal cell phone number will be responded to within 24 hours.

  • Discovering your best smile at any age can be quick and painless. Disease, injury, tooth alignment (crowding and spacing), and sometimes staining can leave you hesitant to smile automatically. Vero Smiles Dentistry can provide cosmetic services including whitening, bonding, veneers, and Invisalign to get your smile looking your best.

Your smile is uniquely yours and has so much potential. Cosmetic dental care from Vero Smiles Dentistry can help you unlock that potential and help you discover your smile.

  • Daily brushing, flossing, eating a healthy diet, and seeing your hygienist and dentist regularly for dental cleanings and exams are all considered preventative dental care and can help you avoid dental disease.

The ADA and FDA recommend that you go to the dentist for a dental cleaning and exam at least every 6 months. Routine 6-month visits allow Dr. Hoy to catch signs of disease in the early stages, sometimes before symptoms develop. Early detection can help minimize the need for more serious dental treatment.

SCALING AND ROOT PLANING TO TREAT PERIODONTAL DISEASE

Scaling and root planing is a deep dental cleaning designed to remove bacteria, tartar and calculus that has built up over time beneath the gums. Dr. Hoy might recommend scaling and root planing if it has been a while since your last dental hygiene visit, if you have deep periodontal pocketing, moderate to severe bone loss, or calculus buildup underneath your gum line. These are serious dental issues and in addition to the visual exam, we use state of the art digital radiography to diagnose them.

If you’ve been faithfully going to the hygienist it will be less likely that you will need this procedure. However, if you need scaling and root planing, we will do all we can to make this procedure as comfortable as possible for you.

This procedure can take up to four visits but usually will take only two. Typically, you can expect to be encouraged to have more frequent cleanings until your condition is considered to be within healthy limits or your periodontal disease is under control.

  • Restorative dentistry is very common and can be simple or complex. It ranges from a one-tooth filling on an asymptomatic cavity to a full mouth rehabilitation that can return a patient’s ability to eat painlessly, talk easily, and to smile automatically.

Restorative dentistry services may include: fillings, crowns, bridges, implant restorations, veneers, prosthetics (dentures/partials), and bonding.
